• 60 Peloponnesian ships are sent to Corcyra to support the exiles.
• Demosthenes persuades the commanders to put in at Pylos on the way to Corcyra.
• The fleet is trapped there by a squall; the Athenians are bored and built a fort on the land side.
• Demosthenes and 5 ships remain at Pylos; the rest sail on to Corcyra and Sicily, and get as far as Zacynthus.
• Meanwhile, the Spartans prepare to assault the Athenian encampment.
• The 60 Spartan ships are recalled from Corcyra; they are dragged across Isthmus of Leucas and return unseen by the Athenians at Zacynthus.
