THORYCION
A corrupt tax collector?
Aegina had been occupied by Athens since 431 and was 17
miles from Epidaurus on the ne coast of the Peloponnese.
The implication may be that Thorycion was a tax-collector
and that, in making his circuit, he stopped off at Aegina
and there unloaded contraband which subsequently found its
way to the enemy port of Epidarurus.
