1. Practice writing the letters of the Greek alphabet using the "Greek Alphabet" handout; write out each capital letter twice; write out each small letter three times. Link here to an on-line Guide for Writing Greek Letters, which will show you how to position the letters on the line. Write out this and all exercises in pencil (not pen), please.

2. Read and study the "Ancient Greek Sounds" handout

3. Practice pronouncing the sounds of ancient Greek using UC Berkeley on-line pronunciation guide

4. Practice pronouncing Greek words using UC Berkeley on-line pronunciation practice (Try to get through all 64 words [Units Three through Eight].)

5. Read GVE Reference Grammar A.2 (The Greek Alphabet), pp. 260-64
