Welcome to the Owl of Athena Roundtable for CCIV 243: Women and the Polis (Spring 1998). 
In order to participate, you first have to become a member. Don't forget to include your email address so that you will be notified by email when messages are posted. To become a member, use the "Members" button below. (Don't join by using the "Subscribe" button; that will only get you on the email list. You will automatically be on the email list also after you join as a "member".)
The purpose of this site is to allow class discussion to continue, and to provide an opportunity for students who either missed class or didn't have a chance to speak up to add their thoughts, opinions, or questions. (Since 50% of your class grade will be based on participation, you should use this site frequently.) 
After the first class, I'll post a message to get the ball rolling. Then, everyone can jump in!
To respond to a posting (= message), first bring up the message, then click on "Add Message" to "[Title of Posting]".
To start a new discussion topic, click on "Add Message" to "CCIV 243".
